i got no idea what im doing

i got freespire2 i try to get stuff off cnr it says update i did it said it did but it still wont get what i wanted im lost help.........

im kinda used to synaptic but i dont know how to get stuff an cant ask friends couse i cant get xchat to go ask them so any good help will be much apreciated (sorry cant spell for snit lol) thanks all

Do you have the latest client installed?

The latest is .3799

In a terminal run: apt-cache policy cnr-client

no but it wont update even thogh it says it did i did that line an got this-->$ apt-cach$ apt-cache policy cnr-client

Download the deb here:

http://packages.cnr.com/data/ubuntu/gratis/pool/c/cnr-client/0.2.3799-0cnr1~feistyskipjack1/cnr-client_0.2.3799-0cnr1~feistyskipjack1_i386.deb

Install it with dpkg. Installation instructions are here:
