Freespire Install and CNR wants to update the client, over and over, no downloads

I just installed freespire, when I attempt to install a program from CNR it asked me to download the updated client. I did. But, everytime I attempt a download, it opens a new brower window and wants me to update the client. Any ideas what to do next?

What version of the CNR Client is installed on your machine (from the console: apt-cache policy cnr-client)?

I have the same problem ! Please help !I reainstall freespire for CNR X(

look my version :

cnr-client:
Installed: 0.1.2600
Candidate: 0.1.2600
Version table:
*** 0.1.2600 0
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

The latest client is 3799

download the deb here

install it with dpkg, then restart the client.

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can help me. I just installed Freespire 2.0 and I am trying to install programs from the CNR client. It asks me to install the client update, which I do, and when I try to install a program, it asks me to reinstall the client update again. I am running CNR cliient verison 0.1.2600.

Is it a problem with CNR or is there something that I am doing wrong?

I am glad that I am not the only one having this problem. I hope that some will be able to have a solution and post it.

Hi All,

Another newbie here. I installed Freespire. Same problem with CNR. I then installed ver. 2.0.8 and that problem was fixed.
